Starting soon, 3rd grade students will begin their unit on color theory. We will be learning all about color harmonies, focusing on analogous colors. To be analogous, the colors need to be next to each other on the color wheel.
After going on a color scavenger hunt, students will make a full body self portrait using sharpie marker. The next part is my favorite part! They will use crayons to create an analogous color scheme around their self portrait in the style of tie-dye! These come out looking quite beautiful!
